I miss you already, Anne McCaffrey
So, Anne McCaffrey has written some of my favourite scifi, I’m just putting that out there. Restoree is a fucking amazing book. Her visions of society consistently fascinate me and pull me in. Also, dragons.
She died this week. Go look her up, read The Ship Who Sang and get all into cyborg-rights. She’d be proud.
Two awesome people I know got married. They’re so awesome that their cake was a cheese cake.

Phryne had posed for a statue of Venus. She was charged with blasphemy for presuming that she was as beautiful as the goddess. Brought before a panel of judges, her lawyer was doing poorly, she is losing her case. In desperation her advocate tore off her robe and she was acquitted.
